The Club is delighted to announce that it has secured a grant of $30,000 from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund to complete the refurbishments of the clubhouse and facilities.

Clubhouse Completed - Feb 2009

The much anticipated clubhouse renovation is now complete. Members can now have access to the new building while playing social tennis and fixtures. The second level has decking around three sides of the building and offers a great view of the tennis action below.

The club has further plans to complete the refurbishment of the building, including vinyl flooring on the bottom level, sanding and oiling the timber floor upstairs, installing a new kitchen upstairs and purchasing new tables and chairs for meetings.

The club will be applying for various grants to complete these projects.

Clubhouse Renovation - November 2008

The renovation to the old two-storey clubhouse is now underway. This will be a wonderful facility for the club once it is completed. The building was first built in 1953, but stood in disrepair for a number of years. So far the building has been raised 500mm to allow for the inclusion of the bottom level rooms.

June 2008

Together with the financial support from the Sunshine Coast Regional Council through Jenny McKay and the Queensland Government through Peter Wellington via Sport and Recreation, the club received enough funding to cover the construction costs for 3 new artificial grass courts with lighting. The construction of the 3 courts is due for completion in June, making a total of 6 courts all with lighting.

As well as funding for the new courts, the Sunshine Coast Regional Council through Jenny McKay have once again come to our rescue by providing funding for the renovation of the existing clubhouse. These renovations will commence in June. When completed, the clubhouse will provide much needed facilities for the club.
